Top 50 Biblioblogs for Nov 2008

December 1, 2008

I wasn’t aware of this ranked listing of “biblioblogs.” It’s not complete—some of the big name NT scholars’ blogs are not listed here, and I’m sure they would rate a fairly high place in the list (e.g., Darrell Bock, Andreas Kostenberger, Dave Black, etc.), so take it for what it’s worth.

The reason I noted the list is that this blog ( is listed.

It’s number 10. Not sure the value (or basis) for the list, but it’s interesting none-the-less.

  1. its based on unique visitors.

  2. Yes, but that raises two questions: first, does that account for access via RSS readers such as Google Reader? That would seriously skew results since my sense is that perhaps as many (or more) people who read many blogs do so via something like Google than direct. Second, what’s the source for the unique visitor records? (That may be just a technicality that more tech savvy folks know all aobut, but I don’t.)

And then, as I mentioned, why are some “big guns” noticeably missing? What is the total list of blogs from which this list of 50 is drawn? And how many are on it? 51? πŸ™‚ or 500?

But it’s nice to see you listed Mike. We’d like to think it’s significant wouldn’t we? πŸ™‚
