Harold Hoehner died early this morning

Dr. Hoehner died unexpectedly this morning. I don’t have any details. He taught at Dallas for 42 years, twenty-seven of those years as Director of Ph.D. Studies and twenty-four as chairman of the New Testament department. See the tribute on the Dallas Seminary site.

  1. Dan Fabricatore has a personal tribute to Hoehner that gives some unique insight into this scholar’s character; a man I would like to have known. (I was introduced to him once while a doctoral student, but never had the opportunity for any relationship beyond that–other than profiting from his writing.)
