I just read a column in Newsweek (3/30/09, p. 16) “puffing” Ehrman’s newest book, Jesus, Interrupted: Revealing the Hidden Contradictions in the Bible (And Why We Don’t Know About Them) (Harper, 2009). The blurb didn’t sound very encouraging—more of Ehrman’s sensationalism and shoddy “scholarship.” When I then turned to my Google Reader to catch up on the days news, up popped Darrell Bock’s review of Ehrman’s book. It’s well said; you ought to read it (the review).
