Rodney J. Decker, Th.D., is Professor of New Testament and Greek at Baptist Bible Seminary, Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA. This blog supplements the NT Resources web site. (For more info on Dr. Decker, see here.)
Comments are welcome, but I have required registration to encourage responsible comments and some level of accountability. Registrations with nonsense names and/or addresses will be deleted. You do not need to register to read the posts or comments. I would encourage you to actually use your real name in posts if you want to be taken seriously (I know, that’s a novel idea it seems! I consider anonymous postings to be irresponsible and one of the blights of the Internet in general and blogdom in particular.) Information provided in the registration will not be used for any other purpose than moderating posts. I do not and will not give any registration information to another party—I detest spam as much as anyone and have taken steps to prevent it from appearing here or in your mailbox as a result of a post on this blog. (Please don’t post your email address in a comment! If you need to contact me, see the Contact link.)
You do NOT need to register to browse/read the blog, but you do need to do so to post a comment. The “spam bots” constantly attempt to register and post “comment spam,” thus far unsuccessfully. If you register and do not post a valid comment the same day, or do not give your real name, a valid email address, or your web site address, then your registration will be deleted along with the latest crop of spam bot registrations when I do a periodic sweep of the registered users list. If you later want to comment, you may register again.
If you want to comment, but the system will not allow it, you may send me a contact note with the comment you would like to post and I’ll post it for you if appropriate. (And tell me that’s why you’re sending it!)
