I have previously listed a “participle flow chart” which was an often adapted/modified one that had morphed several times before I received a copy. It originated by Best at Dallas Seminary. My copy had been modified by someone at Grace Seminary (Sproule?). I modified it as well. But this past year one of my PhD NT students, Rob Green, has been working on the participle with me and we’re proposing a very different chart–one that incorporates the arguments of Martin Culy regarding the case of the participle. Rob will hopefully be publishing his work soon in a journal article, but here’s the chart. The mechanics and design of the chart are my own, but it is based on Rob’s analysis of Culy’s article. The chart will (hopefully) be in Rob’s article and it is also in my Koine Greek Reader. The chart below will print more legibly than it may appear on screen. For a downloadable copy, use this pdf version instead.
